It is based on that statement that we appeal to corporate America to
step up to the platform and be a part of the relief efforts. This is not
the time to blame, it takes time away from whats important...the
victims of this tragedy. The tally of victims is staggering, extending
beyond those who survived, are missing or presumed dead, to a
nation forced to watch while this unthinkable act of nature took place.
Those who survived are shaken and distraught, they not only need
those daily essentials, they will need new jobs, to enroll kids in
schools, new homes, help putting their lives back together. The
federal government is limited in what it can do, businesses in the
private sector will have to step and take care of our most important
resource...our people, their families, help to rebuild their lives, assure
them that they still have a future and that it is a bright one.
